In December 2008, I was hospitalized for pneumonia due to stress and an unhealthy lifestyle. I knew I needed to change my life and get back into shape, but cycling had lost is savor for me long ago, and I returned to running, and although I knew it was a great way to exercise, I didn’t enjoy it very much. In spring 2010, I took a ride on my first Footbike, and I was hooked. I loved the speed and freedom that the Footbike offered as well as the challenge and excitement of participating in a unique and growing new sport. I used it exclusively as a cross training exercise to help me train for the 2010 Wasatch Back 200 mile run relay.Now I kick anywhere from 5-50 miles on any given day, I’m back in shape, and I feel great. I continue to use it to help build strength, stamina, and endurance. My running times have improved, I am running farther, and I attribute that to my awesome Footbike!The Footbike has grown to be more than a valuable workout machine for me. Now I use it to get around town, run simple errands, go to friends’ houses, and ride it around the neighborhood with my kids. I get a good workout, and I spend less on gas.
